Mateca
Mateca est le projet de création d'un centre social et culturel à Abidjan et plus précisément à Abobo, une des dix communes de la capitale économique. MATECA signifie Maison des Arts Traditionnels et Contemporains d'Abidjan. Ses missions seront d'accueillir, de former et d'accompagner les jeunes artistes en voie de professionnalisation... Le lieu aura pour vocation de soutenir les créations artistiques et les échanges culturels avec la mise en place de résidences et de répétitions. Un volet social permettra de lutter contre l'analphabétisation et pour l'insertion des jeunes dans la vie économique du pays. Deux associations Mateca France et Mateca Côte d'Ivoire portent le projet de création et de fonctionnement.

Mateca is the project of creation of a community and cultural center in Abidjan and more exactly to Abobo, one of thirteen municipalities of the capital. MATECA means House of the Traditional and Contemporary Arts of Abidjan. Its missions will be to welcome, to form and to accompany the young artists in the process of professionalization... The place will have for vocation to support the artistic creations and the cultural exchanges with the implementation of residences and rehearsals. A social aspect will allow to fight against the analphabetisation and for the insertion of the young people in the economic life of the country. Two Mateca France associations and Mateca Côte d'Ivoire carry the project of creation and functioning.

L'association MATECA Côte d'Ivoire a été créée le 28 mars 2012 à Abidjan pour promouvoir les échanges culturels franco-ivoiriens et créer la Maison des Arts Traditionnels et Contemporains d'Abidjan.
Bendia est la première création artistique soutenue par l'association.

Mateca est l'association française qui porte les projets de l'artiste Baba Touré. L'association développe des actions culturelles et artistiques. Elle met en place des stages internationaux et des ateliers d'enseignement. Mateca France produit les concerts de Bendia en Europe.
L'association Mateca collabore avec de nombreuses associations culturelles en France et dans le monde. Elle tisse des liens avec La Clé d'Echanges à Toulouse, Nanhdima à Rouen, Zolala à Dijon, Tambours Battants à Nantes, Kalende à Boulognes sur Mer, Kelefa à Ouistreham, Wamali Arts des Peuples à Marseille, Kela à Montaigu, Tam Tam de l'Ouest à Saint-Malo, Matar Diop à Troyes. Dans le monde, Baba Touré collabore avec Wilson Percussie aux Pays-Bas, Bumtaka en Espagne, Sewa Beat en Suisse, Babaniko en Espagne, Tof Tof en Israël.

A Rennes, Mateca monte des projets culturels tel Escale Africaine en partenariat avec la Cie Dounia et la MJC Bréquigny. Un réseau de solidarité s'est créé avec plusieurs associations rennaises dont Bagolo Fô, L'Art en mouvement, Tambours du monde et avec la Cie d'Icidence du Pays de Redon.

Depuis 2011, Mateca a initiée le réseau qui rassemble les associations culturelles africaines en Bretagne.
